The Champagne tourist route

Imagine valleys covered with vineyards, stone-vaulted cellars, a special welcome from the winemakers themselves... you will find all this in the Côte des Bar. With 6700 hectares qualifying for the champagne appellation, Aube supplies 24% of the country's champagne production. And there's no shortage of activities on the Champagne Route: discovering remarkable tourist sites along 220 km of marked walking paths, visits and tasting sessions in traditional wine cellars (some dating back to the 12th century) accompanied by the winemakers, tasting lessons with, among other things, Rosé des Riceys... 26 wineries to visit. The Champagne Route includes 26 cellars with "Welcome Point" status awarded for the excellence of their welcome, the level of their facilities and the quality of their expertise.
