Clairvaux Abbey

Abbaye de Clairvaux

Nine centuries ago, in the heart of the forest, St Bernard cleared a space to build the famous abbey, where he lived until his death.
Today, a privileged few have the opportunity to discover various buildings retracing the site's history: the splendid lay brothers' building, with its dormitory and storeroom (XII century), the 16th-century barn, the Ladies' Hostelry and the 18th-century classical Great Cloister.
